LAUNCHING OFFICIALLY ON DECEMBER 16th - BABY GIRL’S DUE DATE
For the nights you cry in the dark. For the mornings you fake a smile. For the times no one sees what you’re holding.
I partnered with my sister, Danielle from Ripples of Empathy to bring you The Mia Michelle Project, because I know how important it is for mothers to have a safe, secret space too.
Simple recordings and piano music to remind you that you’re not alone — even in the hardest chapters — along with other resources for you and your children.
A NOTE FROM ME
The Mia Michelle Project was born from the love of my baby girl I never got to hold and the hope that her memory can help other mothers in the moments they need the most love and support. I lost her just as I entered my second trimester, and everything after that changed me forever.
But the seeds of this project were planted long before that. Before I became a mom, I looked like I had it all together; newly married, starting my teaching career, always trying to be “perfect.” Inside, I was hurting. I wanted to feel joy and peace in my own skin, and I longed for healing in certain relationships.
My sister Danielle began making recordings for me; simple reminders that helped me breathe, come back into my body, and show up for my marriage and, eventually, for motherhood. Those recordings became my foundation, carrying me through the long hours of labor, the time I spent in the NICU, and later, the grief of losing my daughter, Mia. While Danielle was creating those, my mom was developing the Revival Society process and together, the two changed my life.
When my first child was born, I labored and pushed for three long hours without a doula and I knew I never wanted to do that alone again. So with our second baby, we made a new choice: we found an incredible doula. I had Danielle’s calming recordings, relaxing piano music, and a loving birth team. Even when our baby boy unexpectedly ended up in the NICU and I couldn’t hold him right away, the experience still felt calm, supported, and sacred. That changed everything.
So when I found out I was pregnant again with our daughter, Mia Michelle, I hired our doula Brooke at 8 weeks. She knew I was pregnant before anyone else besides my husband. I was ready to walk this new path with love and intention. But just as we were days away from sharing the news… we lost our baby girl. And I nearly lost my own life in the process.
In the stillness and heartbreak that followed, I leaned into what had held me before: Danielle’s voice. Jordan’s piano. The loving presence of those who stood with us. And from that sacred space, The Mia Michelle Project was born.
That foundation gave me the strength to begin adding other tools into my life; books, podcasts, health practices, and healing modalities that helped me not just survive, but truly thrive as a wife, a mother, and a woman.
The Mia Michelle Project is where these two stories come together: the grounding that carried me through, and the legacy of my little girl. This is a space for real motherhood; the mess, the heartbreak, the moments we never expected, and other challenges.
Here, I share the same things that helped me at different times in motherhood: calming recordings from Danielle, original piano music, and simple resources for mothers and their children.
And because I believe so deeply in giving back, everything here also gives back. Through our cause-marketing model, a portion of anything you do on this site supports organizations like YANA — so while you’re being supported here, another mother is being supported too.
The Mia Michelle Project is my gift to you.
